An experienced Specialist Leader in Education (SLE), supporting primary and secondary schools. Nine years of service as a Governor in a primary and secondary school.
Career Before entering into teaching, I was a Commercial Insurance Broker for a local company in Grimsby.

Career ICAEW Chartered accountant - FCA, Finance Director for Eimskip UK Ltd., Immingham for thirteen years. Responsibilities include account, management reporting, budgeting and taxation; IT including developing logistics software; acquisitions including due diligence.

Current Chair of Personnel / Curriculum Committee. Served as a Governor / Director for over fifteen years, including roles as Vice Chair of LGB and Chair of Curriculum & Personnel Committee.
Career Senior Manager for Department of Work and Pensions with over thirty two years' experience. Current position National Implementation Lead for Universal Credit.

Career Communications & External Affairs Manager for Phillips 66 for 15 years, responsibilities include Communications, External & Government Affairs. NE Lincolnshire Council member of the Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce, Humber LEP Board Member and Chair of Business & Law Career Academy Local Advisory Board at Franklin College. Co-founder and Trustee of Not Home Alone (charity no. 1168683). A previous pupil of Healing.

Governor Experience A wide range of experience as a school governor in both the primary and secondary phases. Acted as chair of two interim executive boards and a conventional governing body. Until comparatively recently was a member of the governing body at Great Coates Primary School.
Career Spent whole career in education.  Was head teacher of two large primary schools before joining the Humberside Advisory Service where specific brief was to lead on assessment of the National Curriculum. In 1996 joined North East Lincolnshire Council as a senior adviser and later became Head of School Improvement for the primary phase. Retired from this post in 2008 and since then has been a self-employed educational consultant. Was a qualified Ofsted inspector and has led a significant number of inspections. Has also acted as a school improvement partner, a role which both challenged and supported schools' leadership teams.

Governor Experience Governor for sixteen years and Chair of Governors for eleven years. Served as a Governor for over sixteen years until Sept 2016, including the role of Chair of Governors for eleven years. Now serving as an independent member of Healing Multi-Academy Trust.
Career Thirty two years in the chemical industry. Retired as Director of Project Engineering for a large multi-national chemical company. Significant expertise in health and safety. Since retirement lead the launch of the Humber Industry Nature Conservation Association and established the programme Advisory Group for the National Industrial Symbiosis programme.

Governor Experience Governor since November 2009.
Career Qualifications: State Registered Nurse (1980), Registered Midwife (1987), MSc Population Health (University of York 2008), 34 years public sector experience. NHS 1980 - 2013. From April 2013 employed by Public Health England (NHS Screening Programmes) as National Programme Manager for Newborn and Infant Physical Examination (NIPE) Screening Programme. Responsibilities include developing and issuing national clinical guidance and leading formal roll out of the NIPE screening programme across England.
