Governor Experience
| A wide range of experience as a school governor in both the primary and secondary phases. Acted as chair of two interim executive boards and a conventional governing body. Until comparatively recently was a member of the governing body at Great Coates Primary School.

| Spent whole career in education. Was head teacher of two large primary schools before joining the Humberside Advisory Service where specific brief was to lead on assessment of the National Curriculum. In 1996 joined North East Lincolnshire Council as a senior adviser and later became Head of School Improvement for the primary phase. Retired from this post in 2008 and since then has been a self-employed educational consultant. Was a qualified Ofsted inspector and has led a significant number of inspections. Has also acted as a school improvement partner, a role which both challenged and supported schools' leadership teams.

| Over twenty-five years of experience in education, predominantly post-14 education in the UK and overseas. Teaching and inspecting (for Ofsted and ISI) in secondary schools, further and higher education. Latterly working in the wider civil service advising on policy reform and large national programmes such as apprenticeships. Currently a broadcaster, trainer and education consultant, which includes training inspectors of education in the UK and overseas and advising schools and colleges on processes and systems working with inspectorates.
